What Belongs on a Contact Page

Phone, hours, address, service area, and a form that works. That's it.

A contact page has one job: make it easy for a customer to reach you. Everything on it should serve that job.

What to include

  • Phone number — tappable (see how)
  • Hours — when you answer the phone and when you do not
  • Service area — the towns or counties you actually serve
  • Physical address — if customers come to you. If you go to them, say that instead of listing a home address.
  • A contact form — but only if it actually works (test it)
  • Email address — as a backup if the form is down

What to leave off

  • A map with no address or directions
  • Social media links as the only way to reach you
  • A paragraph of sales copy before the phone number
  • "Fill out this form and we'll get back to you in 24-48 hours" if that is not true

Layout

Phone number at the top, large and tappable. Hours and service area right below it. Form after that. A customer scanning the page on a phone should see the number without scrolling.

One thing people forget

If your hours say "Mon–Fri 8–5" but you don't answer the phone on Wednesdays, a customer will call on Wednesday, get no answer, and call someone else. List what is actually true.
