What We Don't Do

Knowing what we don't do is just as important as knowing what we do. Here is the full version.

One

We don't register anything.

The name ideas we deliver are creative suggestions — candidates you can take and research. That is where our role ends.

We do not register business names with any county or state authority. We do not file assumed-name ("DBA") certificates. We do not register names with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. We do not purchase or hold any names on your behalf.

This is intentional. Registration requires legal decisions — about entity type, ownership, goods and services class, geographic scope — that are yours to make with professionals you choose. We are not in that chain.
What to do instead: Once you have a name you like from your package, check its availability at your state's secretary of state name search tool, at the USPTO (uspto.gov), and at your preferred name registrar. If the name will be a significant business asset, a trademark attorney is worth the investment before you build around it.
Two

We don't build or host your final presence.

We deliver files. The landing page we give you is a starting point — HTML and supporting files you can put online yourself, hand to a local designer, or sit on until you are ready.

We do not build a fully finished, published, live presence for you as part of this package. We do not host your files. We do not connect your name to a server. We do not manage DNS records, email accounts, or any technical infrastructure.

We are an identity starting point, not a managed service. Hosting ties you to a provider relationship — contracts, renewals, pricing, support — that you should control. We hand you the pieces so you decide who to work with on the ongoing side.
What to do instead: The landing page file we give you can be hosted for free or very cheaply on services like Netlify, Cloudflare Pages, or your registrar's included hosting. If you want something more involved, a local designer can take our files and build from there.
Three

We don't give professional, legal, or regulatory advice.

We do not give legal advice. We do not give licensing advice. We do not tell you whether your marketing complies with your state's contractor advertising rules, your professional board's guidelines, or your industry's ethical standards.

Nothing in your package — not the name ideas, the story, the images, or the landing page — is a legal opinion or a compliance review. Buying from us does not create any professional or advisory relationship.

We work with people in regulated trades every day — electricians, plumbers, oilfield services, and more. Every state has different rules about what those folks can say in their marketing. We do not know your state's specific rules for your specific license. You do. Or you can find out.
What to do instead: Before you publish anything to the public, run your marketing claims past the applicable state licensing board guidelines for your trade. Many state boards publish advertising rules online for free. For anything you are unsure about, a one-hour consultation with a local business attorney is often enough to get clear.
Four

We don't claim a piece of your business.

Everything we hand you is yours. The name ideas are yours to pursue. The story is yours to use and modify. The images are yours for your business marketing. The landing page file is yours to put online.

We do not take equity. We do not receive a royalty. We do not require you to credit us. We do not retain ongoing rights to your identity after you have paid and received your package.

The only thing we keep is what we already owned before your order: our internal systems, templates, prompts, and production methods. Your deliverables are yours.

We built this for people who have worked hard and just need a solid starting place. Taking a cut of every business we help would contradict the whole idea. Pay once. Own it. Move on.
Five

We provide the foundation. You do the building.

This one is not exactly a limitation — it is the point.

A Footprint is a starting place. Name ideas, words, and pictures give you something to hand a designer, something to put on a truck, something to build a first conversation around. They are not a finished business presence.

What makes a business work is not a name or a set of images. It is showing up, doing the work, and letting the customers come back. We hand you the starting pieces because we think everyone who does real work deserves a clean place to start — not because we think a starting place is enough.

We are honest about this because we have seen what happens when people overpromise on branding. A great name that sits unused does nothing. A mediocre name attached to someone who answers the phone and does good work does everything. We believe in the doing more than the naming.
Take what we hand you and build something better than what we built. That is the whole point.

Still sounds right for you?

If you know what you are getting and it fits, we are ready to get started.
