This Privacy Policy describes how Makingmoreland LLC, doing business as Texas Footprint ("we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, and protects information when you visit our site or place an order. By using our services, you agree to the practices described here. Questions? Email admin@texasfootprint.com.
1. Who We Are
Makingmoreland LLC d/b/a Texas Footprint
Central Texas, USA
admin@texasfootprint.com
We are a Texas limited liability company. We do not have a storefront open to the public. All services are delivered digitally.
2. What We Collect and When
When you visit the site (before ordering):
- Your IP address — used only for rate limiting (preventing abuse). Not retained beyond the session.
- Page-view data — collected by self-hosted GoatCounter (see Section 4). No cookies. No individual tracking.
When you place an order:
- Your email address
- Your order form responses (your trade or profession, description of your work, service area, image preferences, and similar information you choose to provide)
- Payment information — handled entirely by Stripe. We never see, receive, or store your full card number, CVV, or bank account details.
What we do not collect unless you send it directly:
- Your legal name or physical address
- Date of birth or government ID numbers
- Any sensitive personal information as defined under applicable law
If you email us directly, we receive and keep whatever you include in that message.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information only to:
- Generate your name ideas and brand story (your intake text is sent to Anthropic's API for this — see Section 5)
- Select and package your image pool
- Process your payment and deliver your package to your email
- Send order confirmation and delivery emails
- Send service-related notices (refund status, material policy changes)
- Prevent abuse through IP rate limiting
- Understand aggregate site traffic through cookieless analytics (GoatCounter)
We do not build advertising profiles. We do not sell your data. We do not load any third-party advertising or conversion-tracking pixels. If that changes, this policy will be updated before any such tag is installed.
4. Analytics — GoatCounter
We use a self-hosted instance of GoatCounter for analytics. GoatCounter records page views without setting cookies and without tracking individual visitors. No data leaves our server to a third-party analytics provider. No user profiles are built.
GoatCounter stores anonymized, aggregated page-view counts. It does not store your IP address, personal information, or any data that links you to a specific page view.
5. Who We Share Your Information With
We share your information only with the vendors we need to deliver the service:
- Stripe — Payment processing. Stripe receives your payment details directly and is governed by Stripe's own privacy policy. We receive only a payment confirmation and a Stripe reference ID.
- Anthropic — AI inference. Your order form text (your trade, story inputs, preferences) is sent to Anthropic's API to generate your names, story, and image prompts. We do not send your email or payment details to Anthropic. Anthropic's API usage policies govern how they handle API inputs.
- Email delivery provider — Transactional email (order confirmation, delivery). This provider receives your email address and the content of those emails.
- Hosting infrastructure — The server running this site. Access logs (IP address, pages accessed, timestamps) may be retained by the hosting provider per their own policies.
We do not share your information with data brokers or any party not listed above, except as required by law. We do not sell personal information.
We may disclose information if required by a valid court order or applicable law. Where legally permitted, we will notify you first.
6. Cookies and Tracking
First-party functional cookies: We set minimal session cookies only if needed to preserve form state. These expire when you close your browser.
Stripe (payment session): During checkout, Stripe places a session cookie to manage the payment flow. This is set by Stripe under Stripe's privacy policy. We do not control it.
GoatCounter analytics: Our self-hosted GoatCounter instance does not set any cookies and does not track individual visitors.
Third-party advertising or conversion-tracking cookies: None are loaded on this site. If we add one in the future, this policy will be updated before the tag is installed.
How to manage cookies: You can manage or delete cookies through your browser settings. We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal to the extent required by applicable law.
7. Data Retention
- Paid order records (email, order details, delivery records) — kept while your order is active and for 7 years afterward for tax and accounting purposes.
- IP addresses used for rate limiting — not retained beyond the session.
- Email correspondence — kept until the matter is resolved, and for up to 2 years afterward.
- Stripe records — retained per Stripe's own retention policies. We have no control over Stripe's data retention.
- GoatCounter analytics — stored in anonymized, aggregated form. No individual-visitor records are retained.
When we no longer need your data, we delete or anonymize it.
8. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information:
- HTTPS/TLS encryption for all data in transit
- Server access is restricted to authorized operators
- Payment card data is never transmitted to or stored on our servers
- The database containing order records is not exposed to the public internet
No system is perfectly secure. If you believe your information has been compromised, contact us immediately at admin@texasfootprint.com.
